FEES / BILLING GUIDE

  1. Domain name
    eg. www.your-awesome-site.com
    ~$30 a year, first year free with most new Squarespace plans. We can shop around, or if you’ve already got one set up, we can transfer it to your new site as needed.

  2. Web hosting
    This is what you pay to have your website up and running - a monthly/yearly subscription to providers like Squarespace/Shopify. There are usually different price levels depending on your needs (i.e. a full online store set-up will cost you more than a one-page portfolio site).
    An average client pays about ~$45 a month. It’s usually cheaper to pay annually, and I can get you an extra discount with a new Squarespace annual plan :-)

  3. My fees
    I charge a $100 deposit before getting started - this will be deducted from your final project invoice!
    In general, I bill hourly at $30/hour. A typical portfolio-type site will be ~15 hours for an estimated total of $450. We’ll evaluate your project and its scope together after our call so you know exactly what you’re paying for. I accept e-transfer or PayPal!

  4. Payment Plans
    Happy to offer this so that I can keep my services affordable and accessible! Please let me know if this is something you are interested in. This won’t apply to the initial $100 deposit, but the rest of your project invoice can then be split into two or four monthly instalments.

  5. Extra stuff
    Add-ons for your site - you might have to pay more for your hosting plan if you want to include some services (eg. sending out a monthly newsletter to email subscribers - I think this is $7 more monthly). Totally optional and we will review together based on your needs!

  6. Post-project
    Let’s stay in touch! I’m available hourly if you need it for future site updates and maintenance. That means I can help you set up and send out the fan emails ^, update event listings, images, or do a check-up on your site speed and performance. Usually this isn’t more than ~1-2 hours a month.
